Level 1-5

Welcome to Everquest! First your going to make your character (hopefully bard =) ) and enter the Mines of Gloomindeep. I think you should be able to do the first part of the tutorial by yourself (Freeing Arias) and the learning part of the second (Learning how to form a group, get your soul bound, cast spells, use maps, talk in ooc, use weapons, swim, and use tradeskills). Now the fun begins =)! Here's some tips before you fight. Remember the guy that gave you Chords of Dissonance or your spell? He can also heal you if you just say "I wish to be blessed" and he'll heal you! Also the glooming deep spidersilk quest, you can do it more than once to get lots of armor. One more thing, the golden coin you have can be sold to Wijdan the kobold merchant Now go out and kill! At lvl 1 or 2 you should fight the Small Spiderlings and the Small Rats out beyond the gates of the camp. When ever you fill up your inventory just go to Wijdan and sell everything but your glooming deep spiderling silks which you give to the female Vah Shir for Stiched Burlap armor. Now that your level 3 you can either keep killing the spiders and rats or you can move into the kobold area. In the Kobold area you can fight Glooming Deep Kobold Warriors, Shamans, and Taskmasters. There are also a couple of random named Kobolds (Not the Spider Keeper or the Slave Master person) Keep fighting here till' four than go to the Slave Master room where there should be a large camp fire and many kobolds sitting there. You might want to get a group to fight in here. While your fighting you might loot a bronze bar or iron bar. Turn them in to Absor to get a stronger weapon. Fight here to 5 and then your ready to go into the world of EQ! Talk to Arias again and tell him "I am ready to go home" and you'll zone into your home town.

SONGS TO GET:
Lvl 1 Chant of Battle
Lvl 2 Chords of Dissonance
Lvl 5 Selo's Song of Travel
Lvl 6 Hymn of Restoration
Lvl 7 Jonthan's Whistling Warsong
Lvl 8 Kelen's Lugubrious Lement

Level 5-9

Okay well now you should be standing infront of your guild master. Talk to him or her and get to your newbie zone. This is where my guide may no longer me good for newbies. I won't go into specifics about quests, but I'll still tell you of any good loot if any good loot is there at all. For twinks I suggest going to Paludal Caverns. To get there go to the Plane of Knowledge book > Luclin Stone (In middle right part of PoK) > Shadeweaver's Thicket > Paludal Caverns. Okay so now that your there all you have to do is pull Much Burrowers near the ent of the zone and kill them. I used chant of battle and chords to kill them off pretty easily. When I got low I just sat there pulled my lute out and sang Hymn of Restoration. I did this until 9 and then left to go to Kurn's. If you aren't twink I highly suggest you go to Blackburrow. To get there go to your PoK book > Qeynos Stone (also on middle right side of PoK) > Qeynos > Qeynos Hills > Blackburrow. From levels 5-7 (With my other classes) I would fight on the top floor and kill anything I saw. Then I went down stairs and fought everything execept things that conned red. You can also go to the snake ledge where there is some good loot Giant Snake Fangs which sell for 4 gold and Giant Snake Poison Sacks sell for 4 gold. Not bad for a new character. AFter that even a non twinked character cam go to Kurn's (with a group).

SONGS TO GET:
Lvl 10 Anthem De Arms
Lvl 12 Brusco's Boastful Bellow
Lvl 15 Kelin's Lucid Lullaby

Level 9-16

Okay now you definetly want to go to Kurn's Tower in Kunark. To get there go to your PoK book > Cabalis Stone (Bottom of PoK) > Field of Bone > Kurn's Tower. Now that you've zoned in try and get a group if your twinked or not twinked. If you are twinked then you might be able to solo for a little but I highly sugest you group. Just have your puller pull skellies near the enterance and twist Anthem De Arms and Jonthan's Whistling Warsong to help with damage. Skellies, Skellies, and Skellies till' lvl 16 and your off to Paludal Caverns again!

SONGS TO GET:
Level 17 Guardian Rhythms
Level 18 Denon's Disruptive Discord
Level 19 Shauri's Sonorous Clouding
Level 20 Cassindra's Chant of Clarity
Level 20 Largo's Melodic Binding
Level 23 Selo's Constant Chain

Level 16-24

Back to Paludal! Except now your going in another enterance. To get there go to a PoK stone > Luclin Stone (Again Middle Right of PoK) > Nexus > Shadow Haven > Paludal Caves. Alright now that your in PC you should probably ooc "16 Bard LFG" Depending on when you get there you might get a group instantly or it might be awhile. You really can't solo yet so don't try, unless your absolutely sure you can or your going to go fight Patog Phlarg Fiends which can be dangerous do to a nasty Damage Over Time spell they give. If you do get a group your probably going to be fighting Recondite Bandits. Keep going throught the caves and you should see some tents. Go in the middle of tents and you should see a group fighting. Just play Anthem De Arms and Jonthan's Whistling Warsong do help with Damage. When you hit 17 you can dual wield. Hopefully you have a strong second weapon =). When you hit 20 you can get a last name YAY! and you should start twisting Cassindra's Chant of Clarity and Largo's Melodic Binding to help healer's get mana and to lower the amount of damage the bandits are doing to the tank. Once you hit 24 you can leave or if you want stay one more level.

SONGS TO GET:
Level 25 Selo's Rhythm of Speed
Level 26 Angstlich's Appalling Screech
Level 27 Solon's Song of the Sirens
Level 28 Crission's Pixie Strike
Level 29 Psalm of Vitality
